SecureOps — Workforce Platform for Security Companies
A multi-tenant web + mobile platform for guard companies: shifts, photo check-ins, patrol routes, live map, incidents, leave, payroll, invoicing and a client portal.
Challenge
Security companies manage hundreds of guards across many client sites. Proving a guard was on post, and on patrol, usually depends on phone calls and paper logbooks. Payroll and client invoicing are then assembled by hand from those records.
Process
I built SecureOps as a monorepo with a web dashboard, a guard mobile app and a real-time API, all sharing auth, database and type packages. I delivered it in six phases:
- Guard app (Expo). Photo check-in, patrol with checkpoints, incident reporting, attendance and leave requests.
- Operations dashboard. Sites, shifts, employees, a live map (Leaflet + Socket.IO), patrol-route planning, photo logs and incidents.
- Back office. Salary structures and payroll, invoice PDFs, email notifications and advanced reports.
- Client portal. Each client company sees coverage and incidents for its own sites.
- Multi-tenant, with a security-hardening pass before go-live (credential rotation, firewall lock-down).
Outcome
One system replaces the phone calls and logbooks, from the guard’s check-in photo through to the client’s invoice. Guard companies can show proof of coverage instead of just claiming it.
